The Computer Information Systems Department offers several labs that are
conveniently located in the CLA building. The following is a list of the labs
that are openly available to students and a list of instructional softwares
that are recommended by professors who teach in the courses listed.
Academic Alliance Program

The Microsoft Academic Alliance Program (MSDNAA) provides CIS students with the
most current versions of Microsoft's platform, server, and developer tools.
This software is provided exclusively for our students' use in education and
research. Software can be obtained from our MSDNAA server and can be downloaded
directly or purchased online. Note that requests for physical media involves a
nominal cost. You must be a CIS student to participate in this program. Want to

Application Development Lab

Our Applications Development Lab is located in 98-C4-23 and provides our
students with access to state-of-the-art computers and software. If our classes
require a software package, there is good chance you will find it available in
this lab.

Hands-On Networking

The CIS Hands-On Networking laboratory is located in 98-C4-36 and provides CIS
students with a hands-on environment for studying computer networking.

Instructional Software

Looking for other instructional software? Besides the software listed above, CIS
students can now download almost all CIS-related instructional software via the
