INTRODUCTION

The Information Technology Competition is a forum in which teams of students from many West Coast universities apply their skills in information technology to real-world business scenarios to the best of their abilities. Their work is then analyzed, judged and critiqued by industry professionals. In addition to the opportunity to win cash prizes, participants gain contacts in the industry, valuable feedback on their work from professionals, and experience working in a business environment that includes competitive pressure, deadlines, and a team-oriented environment.

Concurrent with the IT Competition is an all-day Career Fair, in which companies have an opportunity to meet and network with the best and brightest students who took the time and accepted the challenge of competing with their peers, from Cal Poly Pomona and other universities.
